These standards ensure that our stainless steel fire doors and other fire-rated commercial doors meet the required durability, fire resistance, and installation specifications for modern industrial environments.
I. Fire Resistance and Material Specifications-Custom steel fireproof door
To guarantee life safety and asset protection, our steel fire resistance doors must meet the following criteria:
- Grade A doors: Minimum fire resistance of 1.2 hours
- Grade B doors: Minimum fire resistance of 0.9 hours
II. Door Leaf Opening Direction
Opening direction directly affects emergency egress efficiency. Therefore:
- Right-opening doors turn clockwise
- Left-opening doors turn counterclockwise
- All fire-rated doors must open toward the evacuation path
This standard applies to both single leaf and double-leaf commercial fire doors, ensuring compliance with fire safety exit protocols.
III. Technical Material and Hardware Requirements
To maintain structural integrity under extreme heat and load conditions, YK’s Custom steel fireproof door must include:
- Steel Components:
- Door frames made from 1.5mm cold-rolled steel plates
- Door leaf panels: 1.2mm cold-rolled steel
- Reinforcements: preferably 1.5mm or thicker; with screw holes, not less than 3.0mm
- Non-Combustible Core:
- Door leaf and frame filled with fireproof material
- High-Temperature-Resistant Hardware:
- Locks, hinges, bolts must resist temperatures of at least 950°C
- Installation Hardware Standards:
- Bi-directional spring hinges are not permitted
- Single-leaf fireproof steel doors must include door closers
- Double-leaf units require astragals, door closers, and coordinators
- Sealing System:
- Frames should include sealing grooves filled with non-combustible intumescent strips
IV. Appearance and Surface Quality Control
To meet visual and structural standards in industrial environments:
- Welding Quality:
- Welds must be firm, evenly spaced, and free from burn-throughs or false welding
- Surfaces should be smooth and uniform
- Painting Finish:
- A uniform anti-rust primer coat must be applied via spray-painting
- No visible defects such as paint runs, missed spots, bubbles, or pinholes
YK fire rated door manufacturer ensures that every steel fire door—whether for warehouse facilities, data centers, or high-traffic commercial door installations—complies with these stringent criteria. Each unit is designed for both regulatory approval and real-world performance.
