But after completing our first few fire-rated door shipments to Bishkek and Karakol in 2024, one thing became clearācertification is only part of the story. šļø A Fire Door Is Not Just a LabelāItās a Promise
In Kyrgyzstan, fire doors must meet the EAEU’s TR 043/2017 technical regulation, which aligns closely with European fire safety logic. That means your fire-rated doors should pass EN 1634-1 fire resistance testing and be properly EAC-marked for customs and construction use.
However, just having the test report isnāt enough. During one installation in an academic dormitory in Bishkek, we had to demonstrateāon-siteāthat our EI 60 fire doors closed automatically within 10 seconds and had no gap over 3āÆmm. No exceptions were allowed. The local inspector even used a laser gauge to confirm tolerances. Fortunately, our pre-shipment mockup included a 2.8āÆmm gap average, so we passed without adjustments.

š What Certification Looks Like in Practice
