When I first stepped onto the construction site of The Grand Tower in Bengaluru—a 50-storey luxury residential development by the CNTC–Golden Gate joint venture—I knew this wasn’t going to be just another fire door supply contract. That’s why we approached this project with purpose, not just product. We provided 450 apartment entry doors—timber-glazed, 60-minute fire rated, UL and NABL certified, with full intumescent seals and self-closing systems. For the lift lobbies, we supplied EI120 steel-glazed doors with wood-grain finishes that matched the interiors so well that most people wouldn’t realize they were fire doors. Utility shafts and mechanical rooms were outfitted with 120-minute rated steel doors, fully gasketed and certified to FM/UL standards. One of the more technically rewarding challenges was delivering 15 EI60-rated sliding fire doors for indoor-to-balcony transitions—slim, automatic, smoke-sealed, and visually seamless. Every door came with full IS 3614 test documentation and installation according to NFPA 80 standards. Beyond the product, our team worked directly with Bengaluru’s fire safety officials to pre-approve every specification, and we trained on-site staff to maintain the doors through QR-coded inspection logs.
